Movie reviews-Wizard of Oz

The movie, Wizard of Oz is about adventure of the girl, Dorothy. Dorothy is the girl who lives in a little farm in Kansas. When she was out with Toto, she came across a tornado. She escaped to her house and flew with the house to Munchkin's world. The good witch Glinda told her to go to the Wizard of Oz to go back to her house. On the way going to the wizard of Oz, she met three friends. First, she met a scarecrow with no brain. He can't make decisions because he has no brain. Then, Dorothy and Scarecrow met Tinman. Tinman had no heart. Finally, Dorothy met the Cowardly Lion. Three friends and Dorothy went to meet the Wizard of Oz, and found out that they already had all things they wanted. Dorothy went back to Kansas, and the three friends were satisfied.
This movie gives lessons about leadership. Dorothy shows leadership to help friends.Scarecrow shows a leader needs to have confidence about decisions. Tinman shows a leader needs to help weak people. Lion reveals a leader needs to be brave.
I loves this movie because I learned a lot through it. This story makes people to think about what makes a leader, and  what a leader needs to do. The wizard of Oz is one of the movies which gives both lessons and enjoyment. Also, I loved the way they described the ambiance of the moment. They used black and white to represent the Great Depression and used color to express happiness in Munchkin Land and in Emerald City. It lacks technology, but that is because this movie was created in 1939. It was actually a lot of fun for me to watch. I can compare it to modern technology and guess how the technology developed. Also, I can think about the way they made computer graphics. Awkward makeup made me feel I was watching it in front of actors. It looks like a play more than a movie. I loved the movie, the Wizard of Oz.

  1. Great movie review! I'm glad you like the movie overall. One thing I suggest is that you might consider adding a picture or a movie clip to your review.
